"I
urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession
and thanksgiving be made for everyone" 1 Timothy 2:1 http://www.biblegateway.com
The
Intercessory Prayer Ministry ("IPM") of the Lion of
Judah Community Church ("LOJ") operates under the directives
given by the Apostle Paul, in as much as we put prayer first.
We are mindful to be in complete obedience to this Word by praying
for everyone -
each other, LOJ members, the auxiliaries and their leaders, the
pastor and the city, state and federal governments and their constituents.
There are none too great or to small for prayer.
Semi-annually,
the IPM hosts lock-ins which are held twice a year - when the
time changes (October and April). Since we pray around the clock,
we rotate prayer warriors in an effort to offer fresh appeals
and fresh offers of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father. It is
an awesome time, as we cleanse ourselves of the world and its
cares prior to any other activity of the ceremony. We are reminded
that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Check back periodically
for the next scheduled
lock-in.
Guiding
Scripture
Is any sick among
you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray
over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and
the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise
him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven
him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous
man availeth much. James 5:14-16
