Our
mission is to minister to each other by sharing views on various
worldly and spiritual books. Also to gain knowledge and wisdom
to use in our daily Christian lives. The books that are read are
educational and self-help, keeping us focused on the one and only,
Jesus Christ. The books that are read are Christian books-fiction,
non-fiction, autobiographies, self-help, etc. Individuals are
encouraged to make book suggestions for future reading. Bishop-Elect
Gibson and the ministry leaders approve all suggestions. The Book
Club is also looking for authors of approved books to facilitate
discussions.
If
you would like to purchase a book for an upcoming discussion please
contact us we are more than happy to make it convenient for you.
The ministry meets every two months on the fourth Saturday. As
an added bonus, the author of selected book will sometimes be
available to facilitate. A light brunch is also served.
Regularly
scheduled activities for the Children's Ministry:
"Wisdom,
like an inheritance, is a good thing and benefits those who see
the sun. Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage
of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor."
Ecclesiastes 7:11-12 (NIV)
